The Tin Tent

Rusty, a former shipping container lovingly converted into an uber-cool, upmarket holiday experience. It’s industrial glamour meets rustic comfort, the ideal getaway for anyone who fancies the idea of luxury camping but isn’t so keen on sleeping under canvas.

The ultimate luxury glamping experience. Half tin, half tent, sat in the seven acre meadow to the left of Hobie and Woody, sharing the same lovely views and access to the sea view fire-pit.

A converted shipping container under a canvas flysheet, equipped to the highest standard with a double platform bed and twin singles underneath. A living area with a wood-fired range which doubles as a cooker at mealtimes and heating when the sun goes down.

At the rear there is a wooden annexe housing a large walk-in, hot water double shower/wet-room, a separate wash-room with flushing WC. A kitchen area with sink,
a fridge and a double power socket for those essentials you cannot do without.

You will find everything you need for your luxury glamping holiday, quality sprung mattresses, luxurious linen bedding, beautiful wool throws, soft towels, a fully stocked inventory including enamel crockery (ideal for eating indoors or out), reindeer hides, lanterns, an outside bbq and decking area to relax and take in the views.

From the parking-area, it is a short wheelbarrow walk with your luggage to your tent, ensuring the meadows remain peacefully car-free. There is an honesty shop on site with local produce, including milk, eggs and bacon to set you up for your first breakfast, as well as local pasties and ice cream.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rusty and will definitely be returning! Our 6 year old son said it was the best holiday he had ever had! Every member of our family enjoyed the trip. Thank you.”

Don’t fancy camping but want to hang out away from everyday trappings, then this is the place to go. Comfy beds, plenty of outdoor space, everything you need to reconnect. A super idea – adults and children all loved it.”
