What a difference from this time last year when we had snow! So lucky to have this gorgeous beach just down the road from Barefoot Glamping. Looking forward to those beach days and dog walks in the great outdoors this season, bring it on, let’s make some memories!
We now have hot chocolate spoons in our little grey honesty shop. Made with 74% Cocoa Venezuelian chocolate, they taste amazing, simply melt into a mug of hot milk….mmmmmm enough said!
Just down the road from Barefoot Glamping the beaches are looking beautiful with blue skies, warm sunshine and the sea thrift in bloom, Cornwall at its best.
Our little grey honesty shop had a chalk board refresh this week and is stocked with Roskillys organic ice cream, frozen Delipops, Anns Pasties, Healeys apple juice, Fintimans drinks, Burts Crisps, Milk and Primrose Herd bacon, all ready for our summer glampers.
Gorgeous views across the glamping meadow, blue sky, blue sea and beautiful blossom, a great end to the week, happy Friday everyone!
We love a bit of salvage and up-cycling and couldn’t resist using this old water tank for our new sign.
Planted up with sun loving succulents and with our bespoke lino cut graphics, job done!
After the beast from the east we all need a bit of sunshine, taking a walk along the coast path just down the road at lunchtime and it’s beginning to feel a bit like spring at last!!
Just had to share this lovely review, winter glamping may not appeal to everyone but for those who want to get away from the crowds and enjoy the simple things…
“Jon and Sally were so friendly and welcoming and got us checked in very quickly. They really have thought of everything to make any stay special including a cute little honesty shop on site. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in Rusty and didn’t think for one minute that we would be so comfortable and cosy glamping in November. Once the log fire was roaring away we quickly forgot just how crisp it was outside. It was lovely to escape the trappings of technology and enjoy walking around the meadows, drinking hot chocolate on the veranda and gazing at the millions of stars in the night sky. All the little finishing touches that are provided from the tea lights and fluffy towels to the trug and biscuits just for the dog made our stay less like camping and more like a rustic home from home. Rusty is in a beautiful setting with meadows and a little wood to walk around. We saw some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the glamping site. Poldhu cove is a short drive away for a dog friendly beach with an amazing cafe. Great cliff path walk into Mullion with stunning scenery. We will definitely book again, worth every penny.”
Enjoying a lovely sunny Sunday out in the meadows picking elderflowers from the hedgerows to make some elderflower cordial, it’s so easy why not give it a go…
Pick 10 large elderflower heads and place into a large bowl, pour over 1 and a half pints of boiling water, stir in 1 and a half pounds of golden caster sugar, add strips of lemon zest from 4 lemons, slice the lemons and squeezing them in your hands to release the juice add them to the bowl, cover with a clean tea-towel and leave in a cool place for 48 hours. Strain through a muslin cloth, pour into sterilised bottles and store in the fridge. We love it diluted with tap water, sparkling mineral water or added to a cheeky glass of prosecco!
The hedgerows around the glamping fields are starting to blossom in the warm spring sunshine 🙂
